Where our listings come from

We research public retreat-organizer websites and accept suggestions from travelers and organizers. Every published retreat links to its source. We write concise summaries and record the dates, advertised price, room basis and inclusions that the organizer actually states.

“Listed” means the organizer advertises the retreat. It does not guarantee a place. Confirm availability, the currency, what is included, cancellation terms and travel arrangements directly with the organizer before paying.

How listings stay current

AI-assisted editorial checks review source pages and discover new retreats. Dates that have passed disappear from available results automatically. Sold-out and cancelled retreats are excluded, while their detail pages retain the status. A failed page request is flagged for another check; it does not erase a retreat.

Each retreat shows its last successful source check. Information can change between checks.

How traveler reviews work

Travelers sign in and confirm that they attended before submitting one review per retreat. Reviews open once a retreat has started. We moderate for spam, personal information, irrelevant content and abusive language. Critical reviews are welcome; a low rating is never a reason to remove one.

Signing in and confirming attendance are not proof of a booking. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, attendance is self-reported. We do not invent ratings or import reviews without attribution. Pending and rejected reviews are excluded from any displayed average.

About the scenery

Listing images prioritize the organizer’s main public photograph or the relevant retreat poster. Each detail page credits and links to its image source. Where no suitable organizer image is available, we use an explicitly labeled AI illustration as a last resort. The cinematic opening and fallback rainforest, cruise and surf scenes are illustrative and do not depict the listed venues.
